  • When should I choose a queen mattress?

A queen mattress is a popular choice for couples or individuals who want more room to move around. Queen mattresses are often chosen for people who don’t have room for a king-size bed.

  • What is the difference between a king and a California king mattress?

A king mattress provides enough space for two adults to sleep comfortably. While the same goes for a California king mattress, the California king takes 4 inches from the width and adds them to the length, appealing to taller people.

  • Why should I use a mattress protector?

Mattress protectors bring added comfort while also helping extend the life of the mattress by protecting it from spills, stains, allergens, and dust mites.

  • Will mattresses soften over time?

Yes, mattresses soften over time as the materials conform to your body.

  • How do I slow down the softening of my mattress?

It is recommended that you rotate or flip your mattress every 3-6 months or consider getting a mattress topper to improve the longevity of your mattress.

  • Why do some mattresses come in a box?

Compressing a mattress into a box makes it easier and more cost-effective to ship, handle, and deliver to the customer. Many mattresses in our selection are boxed beds. You can check them out here.

  • How much do mattresses cost?

Mattresses range significantly in price (could be $400, could be $10,000!) so knowing your budget can narrow the search for the best mattress for you.

Choosing a Mattress

How do I know what mattress is best for me?

The right mattress depends on your sleep preferences, body type, and any specific health needs. Here is a guide to help better understand what to look for in a mattress:

  • How do I know what size bed to get?

When choosing what bed size to get, you should consider your body size, your room size, and whether or not you are sharing your bed.

  • What mattress is recommended for side sleepers?

Generally, side sleepers need a softer mattress to cushion shoulders and hips. Our suggested mattress types are memory foam or hybrid.

  • What mattress is recommended for back sleepers?

Back sleepers need a medium-firm mattress for good spinal alignment. We recommend latex, hybrid, or memory foam mattresses.

  • What mattress type is good for stomach sleepers?

Stomach sleepers tend to prefer a firmer mattress to prevent lower back sagging. These include latex or innerspring mattresses.

  • How do I choose the right firmness?

Soft (3-4 on firmness scale): Ideal for lightweight sleepers or those who need pressure relief.
Medium (5-6): Best for most sleepers, offering a balance of support and comfort.

Firm (7-8): Provides extra support, good for stomach sleepers and heavier individuals.

  • What is the difference between spring and memory foam mattresses?

Memory Foam Mattress: Contours to your body, great for pressure relief and motion isolation.
Innerspring Mattress: Traditional, bouncy feel with strong support.Hybrid Mattress: A mix of foam and coils, offering comfort and support.
Latex Mattress: Naturally breathable and durable, ideal for eco-conscious buyers.

  • What are some special considerations when choosing a bed?

Back Pain? Look for a medium-firm mattress with lumbar support.
Hot Sleeper? Opt for a breathable material mattress like latex or gel-infused foam.
Sharing a Bed? Memory foam or hybrid minimizes motion transfer.

  • Where do I test out the mattress I want?
